obedient classes

Has anyone taken their Yorkie to obedient classes. This is my first Yorkie.

Permalink Reply by mona elizabeth klein on November 2, 2009 at 4:13am: i haven't because if you have enough patience you can train them easily at home. it will take a few minutes a day not more than 10 minutes because they are distracted easily, or at least mine is.they are very smart and learn fast but you have to make it interesting for them too.i use a little piece of liver and lots of praise and it seems to work well for me and him.so far he is trained to sit, down, cease,(quit barking)seek,names of his toys, speak,potty,go out,truck,nitey nite.we are still working on stay because he is so inquisitive about everything.he will do it just for 2 minutes or so.i hope this helps.; ▶ Reply to This
