Can anyone tell me where I can buy a halter lead, in England, to fit a Yorkshire Terrier, or a brand name.
I like my dog to walk in front of me so that I don't tread on him, but he pulls so much on the lead that he makes the most awful noise all the time we are out, and by the time he gets home he is sick on the carpet.
Hi, i had similar problems with mine though not as bad!- i used the gentle leader in size small-worked a treat! I have trained her(with the gentle leaders help) to walk nicely on the lead. i also made sure that she was completely calm beforre she left the house(that took a while!)-some people will say that the gentle leader is cruel however i know for a fact that, if fitted correctly, it's far from the truth-my personal oppinion is that my dog felt relief and enjoyed her walks far more from day one. Hope this helps x
On recommendation of our vet, I've always used a halter. I've tried brands from discount stores, but the brand I prefer is Lupine, a well-made harness that has a lifetime warranty. I bought mine and one for my mom's Yorkie at a local pet store; however, you may have to order one off the www. The halters are organized by size come in a variety of patterns. (Sorry if I sound like an advertisement! LOL) Good luck!
